As shown in the figure above, in the SMT factory in Yiwu, Zhejiang, the host computer software of the placement machine has a numerical display interface that can display the operation status data of the placement machine. The project requirement is to collect the equipment operation status data and upload it to the MES system according to the MQTT network protocol.

If you want to obtain the operation data of the placement machine and connect it to the MES system, you need to contact the placement machine manufacturer and open an authorization. The fee is very high, estimated to be 50,000 to 100,000.

Therefore, in order to help customers reduce implementation costs, we chose the screen recognition solution. That is, we took a compromise solution of taking screenshots at regular intervals and identifying the software interface data on the screen. We used the instrument recognition software provided by our company.

As shown in the figure above, after the screen value is recognized, the data is uploaded in json format according to the required mqtt protocol and connected to the MES system. This solution saves the trouble of protocol docking and the cost is only about one tenth of the authorization fee.
