1、 Project background and requirements

To solve the problems of low efficiency and large errors in manual recording of core process data, poor performance ofReal-time, and inability to automatically collect and count the number of good products under traditional production modes, the enterprise proposes targeted data monitoring requirements and plans to carry out industrialData Acquisitionand visualization construction in the copper tube manufacturing workshop.

Implementation location: Qingdao, Shandong,Qingdao Shiya Precision Pipe Fitting Co., LtdIt is a wholly-owned enterprise of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan under the SEAH Group in South Korea, specializing in automotive precision pipe fittings. It was established in August 2007 in Huangdao District, Qingdao, and its core products are automotive brake pipes and fuel high-pressure steel pipes. It is a supply chain enterprise for several well-known automotive companies.

Requirement: This project requires data monitoring of the copper tube manufacturing workshop: collecting temperature data from 2 PLCs and 1 heating furnace. Mitsubishi PLC AssociationLead-acid batteryThe temperature of copper plating process for iron pipes is tested by Omron PLC corresponding to the machining workshop for leakage testing. After collecting data, it is displayedhost computerOn the large screen, automatic collection and recording of the quantity of good products produced are ultimately achieved.

Implementation difficulties: 1. The PLC Data Acquisition needs to determine its status based on multiple data points and display the results after meeting the standards. However, the production data status bit is only retained for a short period of time and needs to be completed within 5 seconds for Data Acquisition, status determination, and result presentation. 2. The imported Japanese temperature instrument does not have a matching point table. It is necessary to refer to the point table of similar domestic instruments and repeatedly test and error to obtain the correct point table in order to achieve Data Acquisition.

2、 Technical plan for project implementation

Customer on-site cooperation, paired with our companyData acquisition and communication management machine(IOT gateway) andWiFi/Ethernet intelligent collection terminal(DAQ-GP-LAN), Implement Hardware collection. The upper computer is paired with usGeneral Industrial Data Acquisition System(DAQ FOR IIOT) ultimately realizes the collection and display of temperature instrument and PLC data.

According to the provided point table information, after docking and debugging, data collection will be implemented. Data Acquisition succeeded, and the logical judgment of data status bits and page configuration display were performed through the general industrial Data Acquisition on the upper computer. The specific networking method is shown in the following figure:

3、 On site installation, implementation, and debugging

The data signal lines of Mitsubishi PLC and Omron PLC on site have been converged to the switch. Our PLC has been configured to collect Gateway, which can be directly accessed through the switch without occupying the original communication interface of the PLC.

Based on past collection experience, the temperature instrument uses existing reference point table data and 485 wiring method to collect temperature values.

4、 Implementation of Data Acquisition Final Display

According to the classification of PLC process channels and temperature settings, the final results reflect the temperature and pressure during the production process, as well as the number of qualified products. The results are as follows.

According to customer requirements, the upper computer software system also has external API interfaces for easy data integration with third-party systems in the future. The retention of historical data also supports synchronous storage to mainstream databases.
